AMI Primary Guide

 

Mia Montessori Academy, a Recognised School as part of AMI Canada’s Montessori Quality Assurance program, is seeking an AMI Primary guide to join our team from September 2025. Located along the waterfront in beautiful Steveston, Mia offers Primary and Elementary programs. Our 2 Primary classes consist of 24 students each, aged 2.5 – 6 years old.

 

To be considered for the position, applicants must have:

  • AMI Primary diploma
  • University degree
  • Eligibility for BC Independent School Teacher Certification is an asset
  • Experience working with a large group of students and a classroom assistant, is an asset
  • Current First Aid certification is preferred

 

Your attributes and responsibilities:

  • Able to work with a class of 24 students with the support of an assistant 
  • A steadfast commitment and understanding of AMI principles and standards
  • A devotion to serving the child
  • Deliver engaging education experiences to the parent community that foster home and school partnership
  • Maintain record-keeping and planning systems
  • Maintain relationships with the parent community and participate in parent/teacher interviews
