Ironwood Montessori Academy (IMA) was founded in 2020 in response to the increasing demand from parents in Richmond and the surrounding areas for a high-quality, authentic, full-day Montessori education. IMA offers an authentic Montessori Program which runs full-day and caters to children aged 12 months to 6 years old and are in line with A.M.I. standards and principles.

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced A.M.I Head Teacher to lead one of our Infant/Toddler Classrooms.

**Responsibilities:**

– Prepare courses for presentation to students according to approved AMI Montessori Elementary curriculum

– Communicate effectively with staff, students, and parents to maintain a collaborative educational environment

– Organize and manage school activities, events, and programs

– Educate and mentor children ages 1-3 years to support their academic and personal growth

– Demonstrate strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently

– Experience working with children to create a supportive learning environment

– Participate in staff meetings, educational conferences and teacher training workshops

– May supervise assistants, teacher’s aides and student teachers

**Qualifications:**

Requirements applicants must have:

· AMI Montessori Infant/Toddler Diploma

· Current First Aid certification

· Criminal record check required

· ECE/IT Certification

· Minimum two years of Montessori teaching experience

· Must be completely fluent in reading, writing and speaking English

Job Type: Full-time

Pay:$26 – $30 per hour + $6 government wage enhancement
