Located in beautiful North Vancouver, British Columbia, (1325 East Keith Rd)
Requirements applicants must have:
•Montessori teaching or assistant diploma
•ECE or ECEA certification
•Current First Aid certification
•Minimum 1 year work experience in childcare setting
Duties:
•Support the Lead Teacher in running & maintaining a Montessori environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children.
•Follow the direction of the Lead Teacher on supporting Montessori lessons.
•Assist in the preparation of classroom materials.
•Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits.
•Collaborate to develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children.
•Engage children in developmentally appropriate activities inclusive of the Montessori curriculum.
•Model integrity, curiosity, responsibility, creativity and respect for all persons as well as an appreciation of racial, cultural, gender issues and diversity.
•Support Lead Teacher with parent-teacher conferences twice each year.
•Assist in the preparation of external communication to families at regular intervals
•Ensure the safety and physical well-being of the students at all times.
