Lions Park Montessori School is a leading provider of authentic Montessori education in beautiful Port Coquitlam. We are currently seeking a dedicated, caring, and enthusiastic CASA (Primary) Montessori Assistant to support our Montessori Guide in a Primary classroom (3–6 years). This is a full-time position.

Please note: We are seeking candidates with a valid B.C. Early Childhood Educator (ECE) or Early Childhood Educator Assistant Certificate and previous Montessori classroom experience.

Preferred Experience, Qualifications & Attributes

  • · B.C. Early Childhood Educator (ECE) or Assistant (ECEA) Certificate (required)
  • · Montessori training and/or classroom experience (
  • · One or more years’ experience supporting a lead Montessori Guide in a CASA/Primary classroom
  • · Strong classroom management and collaboration skills
  • · Ability to nurture independence, respect, and community in young children
  • · Excellent communication skills with children, families, and colleagues
  • · Professional, flexible, and team-oriented attitude

About the Role

As a Montessori Primary Assistant, you will support the daily flow of the classroom by:

  • · Helping maintain a calm, prepared, and engaging environment
  • · Supporting children’s independence and self-care skills
  • · Assisting with classroom routines (snack, lunch, outdoor transitions, etc.)
  • · Observing children respectfully and supporting the Guide as needed
  • · Communicating professionally and warmly with families and team members
