About Us
Here at Le Soleil Montessori Infant Community, we are strongly invested in creating a unique, child-centered learning environment for children from 10 months to 3 years old. We foster a love of learning and help all our children reach their fullest potential at their own unique pace. We believe that every child deserves the chance to flourish and grow in an independent way, learning all the tools necessary for life. Our classroom is built following the traditional method of Maria Montessori, and as AMI trained teachers we provide a unique learning experience to every individual child.
The Environment
We are proud of our beautiful facility, which has been thoughtfully designed to serve as a prepared environment for the toddlers. The classroom is exceptionally bright, filled with natural light, and offers a spacious layout that allows for fluid movement and exploration. Our school provides a calm and inviting atmosphere where both children and staff can thrive.
The Role
We are seeking a dedicated Montessori Guide who is committed to the AMI standards of practice. You will be responsible for leading the classroom, observing the children’s development, and maintaining the integrity of the Montessori materials and philosophy.
Key Responsibilities:
· Design and uphold a serene, organized, and age-appropriate setting that invites exploration for children from birth to age three.
· Support the natural growth of infants and toddlers by respecting their developmental milestones and nurturing their independence through intentional observation.
· Help create an environment that truly feels like an extension of the home.
· Cultivate strong, respectful ties with parents and guardians through transparent dialogue and a shared commitment to their child’s wellbeing.
· Partner effectively with classroom assistants and the wider faculty to ensure a unified and authentic Montessori experience across the school.
Qualifications
· AMI Assistance to Infancy Diploma.
· Valid 5-year Early Childhood Educator license to practice in British Columbia.
· Previous experience working in a Montessori infant or toddler setting is preferred.
· Current First Aid Certificate.
· Strong observational, communication and organizational skills.
